We read everything. Corrections get priority.
What we can help with
- Corrections. If a fee, date, threshold or rule on this site is wrong or out of date, tell us. Include the page URL and, if you have it, the official source showing the correct position.
- Gaps. If you searched for something about New Zealand immigration and could not find a clear answer anywhere, that is useful to us — it is usually a page we should have written.
- Republishing and citation. Questions about quoting or referencing our material.
What we cannot help with
We are not Immigration New Zealand and we are not licensed immigration advisers, so there are things we genuinely cannot do — not as policy, but because it would be unlawful or impossible:
- We cannot advise on your situation. Assessing whether you qualify, which visa you should apply for, or how to present your case is regulated immigration advice. Use a licensed immigration adviser or a New Zealand lawyer.
- We cannot check, chase or influence an application. Only INZ can tell you where your application is. Contact them directly at immigration.govt.nz.
- We cannot review your documents or tell you whether your evidence is sufficient.
If you have been scammed
If you have paid someone for immigration advice and suspect they are not licensed, you can complain to the Immigration Advisers Authority, which prosecutes unlicensed advisers. Our guide on immigration scams explains what to look for.
